Over the course of our 22 years under the Bennett Brown and Associates Inc. banner, we have accumulated a great deal of experience and expertise in two distinctive segments of the marketplace.
Canada-based (and BC in particular) First Nations bands continue to make use of our services. The spectrum of our involcement has included: determining what role tourism might play in future economic development for a First Nations community, the development of tourism strategies for those slightly more advanced in economic planning, market/feasibility studies on specific tourism-oriented opportunities, and financial planning for those which appear to represent reasonable business risks. As a result, we have become more familiar with the specific criteria underlying successful First Nations tourism ventures and their unique circumstances. This permits us to minimize trial and error and learning "on the job" resulting in enhanced "value for fees" for our clients.
Our experience with Caribbean Hotels dates to 1997 and continues. Our work with a variety of clients, but dominantly the Organization of American States (OAS), has allowed us to fully exploit all of our lodging industry operations, marketing (including branding) and "performance" knowledge, and target these to the Caribbean (and small) hotel community in most of the English-speaking countries which enjoy member or observer status with the OAS. As a result, we have developed an extensive and expanding operations and digital photo data bank of Caribbean small hotels throughout the region. Our continuing active involvement means that we have currency - an up-to-date understanding of what makes Caribbean small hotels "tick" and their criteria for success and acceptable performance.
